Global Students Internship Program (GSIP) – Partnership Agreement

1 Introduction

Thank you for your interest in partnering with the Global Students Internship Program (GSIP). The GSIP is a year‑round, paid internship program hosted by universities and colleges worldwide. It uses an AI‑powered platform to match students with projects and to provide organisations with a flexible workforce equipped with AI‑ready skills. The program addresses growing challenges in the labour market:

  • Underemployment of recent graduates – research by Burning Glass Technologies and the Strada Institute for the Future of Work found that more than 43 % of college graduates are under‑employed in their first job and that two‑thirds of those graduates remain under‑employed five years later.
  • AI adoption reshapes entry‑level roles – a 2024 survey of 804 U.S. hiring managers commissioned by Intelligent.com found that 70 % believe AI can perform interns’ work, 69 % believe AI can handle recent graduates’ duties, and 57 % trust AI’s work more than that of interns. At the same time, organizations with AI capability report that AI boosts revenue and helps them scale operations.

The GSIP harnesses AI as a catalyst rather than a replacement. Interns are trained to use AI tools alongside human skills – such as creativity, problem‑solving and communication – making them highly effective contributors. Businesses benefit from this synergy while helping students build social capital and meaningful careers.

2 Program Overview

2.1 Structure

  • Hosts – The GSIP partners with universities, colleges, companies, agencies and non‑profits. Host organisations provide projects or tasks that interns can contribute to.
  • AI platform – Our platform manages the full life‑cycle – from application and onboarding to task assignment, reporting and payments. Applicants are assessed using social‑value metrics to ensure fairness. Real‑time matching connects interns to suitable projects, and integrated AI tools assist with research, content creation and analytics.
  • Timeline – Internships operate continuously. Students undergo a two weeks unpaid probation period with intensive AI training and social capital workshops. After the trial, interns receive US $15 per hour (PPP‑adjusted) for approved work hours.
  • Social capital training – Social capital describes the networks of relationships and trust within an organization. Building social capital improves employee engagement, innovation and resilience. Our curriculum emphasizes trust, shared values, reliability, connection building, leadership influence and inclusiveness. Stronger relationships improve collaboration, accelerate problem‑solving and support innovation.
  • Talent pipeline – Paid internships provide a pipeline of skilled employees. Data from the University of Utah shows that 56 % of interns convert to full‑time employees, and 80 % of interns who receive job offers accept them.

2.2 Benefits for Partners

  1. Access to AI‑savvy talent – Interns are trained on the latest AI tools (generative AI, analytics, automation). AI helps them handle routine tasks, while they provide human creativity and judgment. Companies with AI capability report stronger revenue growth and improved margins.
  2. Research & insights – Interns use AI to conduct market research, competitor scans and analytics.
  3. Innovation & prototyping – Interns collaborate with AI to develop prototypes and test products, bringing fresh perspectives.
  4. Customer engagement & marketing – Interns can design marketing materials, manage social‑media campaigns and deploy AI chatbots to improve customer support and sales.
  5. Upskilling existing staff – Interns share AI know‑how and social‑capital practices with your team, enhancing your organisation’s capabilities.
  6. Diversity & inclusion – Paid internships attract diverse candidates and improve long‑term retention.

Options for Engagement

Partners may select from the following engagement models:

  1. Direct Collaboration – You work directly with assigned interns. Your team provides guidance and feedback through the platform. Interns report progress via platform forms and communicate regularly. You approve task completion and hours. This model suits organisations with dedicated mentors and a hands‑on approach.
  2. Managed Collaboration – Our GSIP coordination team oversees intern work on your behalf. You define project goals, deliverables and categories. The GSIP team assigns tasks, monitors progress, and delivers final outputs. You receive periodic reports and can provide feedback at milestones. This model reduces the supervisory burden on your staff and is ideal when internal capacity is limited.

Partners can mix models across categories; for example, you might supervise marketing interns directly while having the GSIP team manage research projects.
